Is there a trial lesson?
Yes, we offer a trial lesson. Please contact us to schedule yours and experience our teaching approach and class environment.
Are lessons held on public holidays?
No, lessons are generally not held on public holidays with some exceptions*. Class schedules are provided in the first week of each month.
What is the fee for the chess classes?
Our pricing varies based on the specific class you choose to enroll in. We offer a range of options to suit different needs and budgets. What if I cannot attend a lesson in a certain week?
If you cannot attend a lesson during a specific week, please notify us in advance (48h). We can arrange a replacement class or provide information on how to catch up with missed material. *Replacement class subject to availability.
Where is your location, and what are your visiting hours?
We are located at Plaza Mont Kiara. For the exact address, please refer to our Contact page. Visits are by appointment booking only. Kindly contact us to schedule your visit.
How do I make payment for the fee?
Currently, we encourage payments to be made via online bank transfer or TNG.
How many sessions per week are recommended?
For entry level students, 1 session per week is sufficient. Intermediate and advanced students are encouraged to attend at least 2 sessions per week to achieve consistent improvement.
Can I request a refund?
Unfortunately, refunds are not available. Aethreal Chess Academy has a no-refund policy. Thank you for your understanding.
How many students are there in each group class?
Group classes are kept small to ensure personalized attention and effective learning. Each session is limited to 2-4 students only, allowing for more focused instruction and better interaction between the instructor and participants.
I have a 5-year-old who is eager to learn. Can they enroll in chess class?
For children below 6 years old, we recommend scheduling a trial session to assess their understanding and determine if the class is a good fit for them. Alternatively, private lessons may be more suitable, offering personalized attention and a tailored learning experience for them.
